Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Hardman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastiaan Rutten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardman throws a right hand that Rutten ducks under and follows up with a left that Rutten also avoids with ease.
Rutten delivers a nice body kick.
Good leg kick by Hardman there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

No joy there for Hardman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rutten throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hardman on the side of the head.

A close round but Sebastiaan Rutten will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The crowd cheers as Hardman lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rutten doesn't seem phased though.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Hardman might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Rutten drops Hardman with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hardman looks back up at him and smiles so Rutten waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Hardman appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Rutten. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
