Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Conlon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tommy Conlon will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Conlon drives through with a takedown into Garcia's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Conlon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Garcia not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Garcia looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Conlon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Garcia works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Garcia avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Conlon postures up in Garcia's guard and throws a big left but Garcia blocks it.

Conlon throwing strikes from guard but Garcia blocks nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Conlon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Garcia manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Conlon has Garcia in his guard.

Garcia is pushing down on Conlon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Conlon is fighting to maintain full guard but Garcia has managed to sneak the leg through.

Conlon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Garcia wants to free his trapped foot but Conlon is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Garcia passes to side control.

Conlon is looking for a sweep.

Garcia is trying to get an arm triangle but Conlon is defending well.
Conlon tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Conlon manages to work his way to half guard, despite Garcia's best efforts.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garcia passes to side control.
Conlon is looking for a sweep.
Garcia cracks Conlon with a big elbow.

Garcia decides to stand up, so the ref orders Conlon to his feet.
Conlon shoots for a double leg takedown but Garcia sprawls well. He's pushed Conlon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Conlon or perhaps it was just good defense by Garcia, which made it look bad.
As Conlon looks to move away, Garcia throws a big counter combo but Conlon just gets out of the way.

Conlon is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Garcia's half guard.

Garcia pushes Conlon off and gets back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Garcia moves into the clinch.
Joe Garcia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Conlon.
Garcia is pressed up against the cage. Conlon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Garcia down to the mat. Garcia avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Garcia shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Garcia is defended easily by Conlon.
No luck for Conlon with that takedown attempt.
As Conlon tries to get set, Garcia tries to push him back and clinch up but Conlon manages to avoid the attempt.
Conlon shoots and misses

Conlon is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Conlon is working for takedown but Garcia is calmly controlling the position for now.

Garcia throws a punch but it's blocked by Conlon.
Garcia lands an elbow inside.
Conlon wants to take the fight to the mat but Garcia manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Conlon has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Garcia after a bit of a struggle.

Garcia's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Garcia scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Garcia has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Conlon!
Conlon has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Conlon tries to reverse the position but Garcia maintains control.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Conlon tries to improve his position but Garcia has taken his back! Garcia has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Conlon tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Garcia pushes Conlon away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
