Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Iko Ruhian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buru Doragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruhian comes to the ring accompanied by Kendang Pencak. Iko Ruhian has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Iko Ruhian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Buru Doragon!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruhian throws a shot from downtown. Doragon moves away and avoids it.
Doragon changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Ruhian ducks right into an uppercut from Doragon.
Doragon avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've been told by Ruhian's head coaches at Hugs & Kisses that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Ruhian misses with a wild body shot.
Doragon lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Ruhian throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Doragon thows a leg kick but Ruhian checks it
and Ruhian cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ruhian connects with a crisp jab.
Ruhian has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Doragon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ruhian as he jumps to the side.
Ruhian throws a head kick that misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ruhian. Doragon does a little dance to reset his feet.
Doragon wants to clinch up but Ruhian keeps it at a distance.
Ruhian throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Doragon.
Doragon let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Ruhian throws a hook to the side of Doragon's head but Doragon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Doragon takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Ruhian throws a series of punches but Doragon moves out of range.
Despite the aggression on Doragon's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ruhian lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Doragon goes for a double leg but Ruhian avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Ruhian continues to drive forward.

and Doragon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Iko Ruhian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ruhian lunges at Doragon with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Doragon's hand.
Ruhian fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ruhian misses with a double jab.
And Doragon tries to counter it with a takedown but Ruhian pushes his down on his head and steps out.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Ruhian counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Doragon throws a body kick that misses.
Ruhian throws a wild body kick that Doragon sees coming a mile off.
Doragon with the counter takedown but Ruhian avoids it easily.
Ruhian misses with a wild body shot.
Doragon bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ruhian's head.
Ruhian connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Doragon's hands.
Ruhian throws a big shot that misses.
Doragon drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ruhian defends it well.

and Doragon counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Ruhian stuffs the takedown attempt from Doragon. Doragon gets slowly back to his feet.
Iko Ruhian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buru Doragon.
Doragon moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Ruhian looks to score with a jab to the body but Doragon is just out of range.

Doragon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Iko Ruhian dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Ruhian clobbers Doragon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Ruhian lands a jab.
A slow jab from Doragon misses its intended target.
Doragon is looking to clinch but Ruhian is avoiding it.
Ruhian lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Ruhian looks to score with a jab to the body but Doragon is just out of range.

and Doragon counters with a nice uppercut.
Doragon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ruhian.

Iko Ruhian is winning the standup battle so far.

Doragon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ruhian.
Doragon is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
The fighters circling - Ruhian throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Doragon misses with a lunging right hand
and Ruhian counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.


Doragon is rocked!
Iko Ruhian is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Doragon is aggressively charging in as Ruhian backs up avoiding any damage. Ruhian tosses out a jab and Doragon runs right into it face first! Doragon is out cold! Ruhian dropped down on all fours and is barking in Doragon's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Iko Ruhian!
Iko Ruhian decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
