Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Barathian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoji Kikuchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barathian's entrance music is Carcass - This Mortal Coil. A fine choice. On his way into the ring it seems that Max Barathian has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Max Barathian seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Max Barathian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoji Kikuchi!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barathian throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kikuchi only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Barathian lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kikuchi circles away quickly and effectively.
Kikuchi changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Barathian throws a nice looking combination but Kikuchi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kikuchi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Kikuchi counters with a nice double leg into guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kikuchi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Barathian cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Barathian fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kikuchi on the side of the head.
Barathian throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Kikuchi stumbling backwards into the ropes! Kikuchi bounces back off the ropes towards Barathian, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Barathian lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Barathian celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
