Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Luiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Reagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Luiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ronald Reagan!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reagan rushes Luiz and presses him up against the cage.
Reagan scores with a hook to the body.

Reagan successfully pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reagan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Luiz's guard.

Reagan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Luiz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Reagan is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Luiz is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Luiz has escaped and now he's on top!

Reagan can't keep his opponent in guard - Luiz advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reagan wants to control but Luiz is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reagan looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Luiz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reagan keeps working.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Reagan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Luiz pulls his head out easily.
Reagan is not content to let Luiz control the position.
Reagan is trying to maintain the position but Luiz is very close to passing his half guard.
Reagan tries to roll over but Luiz keeps him under control.

Reagan looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Reagan trying to control but Luiz postures up.

Reagan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Luiz pulls his head out easily.
Reagan blocking the ground and pound attempt from Luiz.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Luiz is trying to control the action in half guard but Reagan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Reagan is defending against the submission attempts here by Luiz.
Reagan has his hands clasped together around Luiz's back. He's all about the action.
Luiz passes to full mount!
Reagan manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Luiz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Reagan is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Luiz is tapping! Great win for Reagan!
