Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aleks Breznhev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichiro Zakayama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zakayama goes for a double leg but Breznhev avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Breznhev continues to drive forward.
Zakayama misses with a takedown
and Breznhev decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Zakayama's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Zakayama has momentary wrist control but Breznhev slips an elbow through the middle.
Breznhev keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Zakayama's head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zakayama has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Breznhev can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Zakayama looks winded!

Breznhev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zakayama on the ground.
Breznhev gets to his feet and stands over Zakayama, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Zakayama felt that one! Breznhev unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Zakayama from any more punishment!
