The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marquez gets a takedown into half guard.
Marquez content to control rather than advance.
Bernardo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Marquez passes the guard and advances to mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A nice elbow there by Marquez.
Marquez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Marquez lands a couple of good shots and Bernardo has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Bernardo grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
What can Bernardo do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Let's hope that Marquez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
