The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pointson fails with an attempt to clinch.
A nice side step and Vilkuttaja releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

and Vilkuttaja counters with a nice uppercut.

Pointson moves to clinch but Vilkuttaja breaks away
and Vilkuttaja connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Vilkuttaja lands a nice looking body shot.
Vilkuttaja connects with a good right hand that stumbles Pointson. Pointson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Vilkuttaja uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pointson.
Pointson throws a poor cross that misses
and Vilkuttaja counters with a left to the body.
Vilkuttaja ducks under a wild hook from Pointson.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Vilkuttaja! But no joy.
Pointson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Vilkuttaja counter with a right hand.
Vilkuttaja works Pointson's body with a nice hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vilkuttaja cracks Pointson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Kevin Pointson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

BOOM! Vilkuttaja lands a beautiful left hook that drops Pointson. Pointson tries to recover but Vilkuttaja is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Pointson lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
