Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Poohpoo Pleanties (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kamarus Kura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kamarus Kura!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pleanties throws a right and a left that Kura avoids nicely.

Pleanties dives in and scores a takedown into Kura's guard.

Kura has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Pleanties is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pleanties loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Pleanties goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Pleanties has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kura is proving hard to escape from.

Kura has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Pleanties is on him like a limpet, forcing Kura back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Poohpoo Pleanties will probably get the nod.

As Kura backs away, Pleanties returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Kura stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kura wants it to stay on the feet.

Kura manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Pleanties keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Poohpoo Pleanties.
