PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vito Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tristan Salifu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salifu is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Men at Work - Land Down Under. Tristan Salifu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vito Blaze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tristan Salifu!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salifu closes the distance looking to clinch
and Salifu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Salifu on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Salifu doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Blaze counters with a slapping leg kick.
Blaze leaves Salifu with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Salifu looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Tristan Salifu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blaze works the jab nicely.
Blaze really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Salifu walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Salifu looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
A head kick misses from Salifu.
Blaze clobbers Salifu with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Salifu takes one on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Blaze blocks a head kick by Salifu.
Blaze is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Blaze throws out a leg kick but Salifu moves out of range and Blaze only half commits.

Blaze drops Salifu with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Salifu looks back up at him and smiles so Blaze waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Salifu is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Blaze steps in with a hook that catches Salifu right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Blaze follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Salifu looks absolutely devastated.
