The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pendle closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Roach did well to prevent Pendle getting side control.
Roach tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Pendle is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Roach wants to improve his position but Pendle is controlling well.
Pendle works his way into full mount!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Pendle.

Pendle batters Roach with a massive right followed by a huge left! Roach is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Pendle lands a final crushing right hand to drop Roach to the mat with a gruesome thud! Pendle is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
