Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Earls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Earls comes to the cage accompanied by Tommy Gun. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Earls!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peter Parker!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Earls connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Earls throws a series of punches but Parker moves out of range.
Earls tries for a takedown but Parker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Parker walks into a straight right hand from Earls.

Parker has Earls up against the cage in a clinch.

Parker breaks from the clinch.
Parker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Earls swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Earls scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Earls is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Earls wants to pass to mount but Parker is defending the position.

Earls seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Parker pushes Earls off looking to stand but Earls dives back in and keeps control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Earls changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Parker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Earls looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Earls goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Parker rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Earls's guard! Nice work there by Parker!
Earls has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Parker has passed into side control.

Earls tries to bench press Parker off him but Parker keeps the position.

Parker stands up.
Parker avoids a kick to the body.
Parker misses with the combination.
A slow jab from Earls misses its intended target.
Earls lands a lovely overhand right.
Parker throws a head kick that misses.
Earls throws a wild body kick that Parker sees coming a mile off.

Earls fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Parker sprawls well initially but Earls persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Earls prevents Parker from standing back up.
Parker is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Parker makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Parker lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Parker manages to break the clinch.
Parker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Earls paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Parker.
Parker lands a really nice looking cross but Earls seems unphased.
Parker ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Parker connects with a high kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Parker pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Earls tries to keep at a distance but Parker has taken the fight into the clinch.
Parker lands an elbow just above Earls 's eye.

Parker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Earls waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Parker.
Earls throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Earls shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Earls was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Earls is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Parker has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Parker!

Earls throws his legs up looking for a submission but Parker uses it to pass to side control.

Parker stands up and beckons Earls to his feet.
Earls moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Earls throws a big shot that misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Parker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Earls moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Parker throws a nice inside leg kick.
A head kick misses from Parker.
Peter Parker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Parker wants to clinch up but Earls keeps it at a distance.
Parker tries to clinch up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Parker dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Nick Earls's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Parker avoids the head kick by Earls.
Parker misses with the combination.
Earls throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Parker's waist but Parker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Earls off to one side.
A punch lands to the side of Parker 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Parker goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Earls shoots for a takedown but Parker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Parker staying out of range there.
A big left from Earls misses.
Earls avoids a punch combination nicely.
Parker swinging wilding here.
Nick Earls is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nice jab there from Earls.
Parker throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Parker throws a leg kick but Earls sees it coming and checks it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Earls shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Earls showed some decent athleticism there.

Earls is looking for a kimura here.

Earls is looking to stall here but Parker recovers full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Earls drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Parker dives on top into guard.

Earls looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Parker has picked Earls up and slammed him! Earls can't keep hold of the triangle and Parker manages to pass to side control!

Parker stands up and beckons Earls to his feet.

Some wild striking there from Earls.

Parker gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Parker unloads a knee to the mid-section. Earls lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Parker breaks from the clinch.
A shot to de liver by Parker. Beautiful body shot.
Parker scores with a nice head shot.
Parker fails with an attempt to clinch.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Parker.

Parker drives through and clinches with Earls against the cage.
Earls is trying to stall.
Parker missing with knees to the body.
Knees to the body from Parker.
Parker can't break the clinch.
Parker wants to break the clinch but can't.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Parker breaks the clinch.

Parker has closed the distance and engaged Earls in a clinch.
Parker misses with a body punch.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Earls.
Earls on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Earls is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Parker gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Earls. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Parker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Parker scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Parker lands with a kick to the temple. Earls shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Earls throws a series of punches but Parker avoids them all with ease.

Earls throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Parker.
Parker punishes Earls's body with a nice straight punch.
Earls misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Parker darts in and clinches Earls up against the cage.
Parker is trying to break free.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Parker lands an elbow just above Earls 's eye.

Parker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Earls throws a shot to the body.

Earls feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Earls drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Parker dives on top into guard.

Earls working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Parker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Parker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Peter Parker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Parker connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Earls throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Earls lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Parker looks to score with a jab to the body but Earls is just out of range.
Earls shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Parker pinned against the cage. Parker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Parker scores with a push kick.
Parker connects with a solid leg kick.
Parker connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Parker scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Parker clinches up with Earls and pushes him back against the cage.
Earls's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Parker misses with a knee strike.
Parker landing knees to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Parker lands a nice uppercut.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Parker breaks the clinch.
Parker throws a head kick but Earls moves out of range.
Earls takes a kick to the side of the head.

Earls closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Earls lands in his opponent's guard.

Parker is looking to stand up but Earls isn't so interested in that idea.

Earls is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Parker is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Parker has escaped and now he's on top!
Earls manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Earls throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Peter Parker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
You get the feeling that Parker really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Parker defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Earls.
Parker wants to try and get back to his feet.

Earls has hold of Parker's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Parker manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Earls is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Parker has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Parker!

Parker wants to stand but Earls has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Earls is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Nick Earls overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Parker is trying to stand up here but Earls is controlling him well.
Earls wants to pass the guard but Parker is defending well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Parker manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Earls misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Earls is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Parker throws a sloppy head kick and Earls moves out of range easily.
Earls uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Parker tries to clinch there but Earls circles away.
Earls tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Parker turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Earls paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Parker fails in his attempt to clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Peter Parker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Parker winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
