Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Janusz Nowak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kegg Kurks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kegg Kurks!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kurks closes the distance and pushes Nowak back into the cage.
Kurks lands with a left to the head.

Nowak manages to break the clinch.

Kurks closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kurks lands in his opponent's guard.
Nowak is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kurks passes Nowak's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Nowak slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Nowak is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kurks has escaped the position, nice work there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kurks is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Nowak cracks Kurks with a big right hand but Kurks just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Kurks is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Nowak off and has taken his back!

Kurks is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Nowak knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Nowak for a finish.

Kurks manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nowak manages to get himself to full guard.


Kurks drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nowak dives on top into guard.

Kurks sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Nowak is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kurks is just riding it out for now. Nowak eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
