Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomomi Tsuruta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erling Koch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tomomi Tsuruta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Erling Koch!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsuruta stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Koch ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Koch throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
As Koch tries to get set, Tsuruta tries to push him back and clinch up but Koch manages to avoid the attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tsuruta. Koch does a little dance to reset his feet.
Koch throws out a counter right but Tsuruta avoids it with no problem.
A big right from Koch misses.
Tsuruta throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Koch's waist but Koch gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tsuruta off to one side.
Tsuruta connects with a nice looking jab.
Tsuruta looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Koch swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Tomomi Tsuruta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tsuruta drives through and clinches with Koch against the cage.
Tsuruta lands a left hand that snaps the head of Koch backwards.
Tsuruta tries to work over Koch's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Tsuruta is looking for a takedown.

Tsuruta wants the takedown. Koch is fighting it off but Tsuruta persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Koch's guard against the cage.

Koch uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Koch told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Koch can do anything to dispel that myth.
