Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Driver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Poohpoo Pleanties (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ed Driver has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and David Hoff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pleanties drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Driver controls Pleanties momentarily but Pleanties frees himself.
Driver could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Pleanties trying to control but Driver is working from the bottom.
Driver tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Pleanties throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Driver works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Driver keeping moving, preventing Pleanties from controlling successfully.

Pleanties stands and steps away. Driver gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Pleanties shoots in but no luck this time.

Pleanties on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Pleanties shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Driver is trying to defend but Pleanties finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Driver blocking the ground and pound attempt from Pleanties.
Pleanties stops Driver from getting back to his feet.
Pleanties uses his free foot to push down on Driver's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Driver.
Driver is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
You get the feeling that Driver really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Pleanties misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Pleanties unloads with some shots from mount but Driver bucks and avoids them well.
Pleanties controlling the position easily from mount.
Driver wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Driver has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Pleanties is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Pleanties has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Pleanties looking for the RNC.

Pleanties is persistently looking for the submission but Driver is defending it well.

Driver is trying to shake Pleanties off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Pleanties won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.

Oooooh!!! Driver has knocked Pleanties down with a huge combo! Driver steps away and waves a wobbly Pleanties back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Poohpoo Pleanties has been cut.
Driver scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Driver pounces like a tiger and cracks Pleanties with a vicious hook! Pleanties is down but not out! Driver follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
