Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Caldwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shane Wilson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 34 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Caldwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Shane Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Caldwell with that takedown attempt.
Caldwell throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Caldwell misses with a series of wild punches.
Caldwell thuds a left hand into Wilson's body.

Wilson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ground and pound from Wilson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Caldwell is pushing Wilson's head away, looking to escape. Wilson manages to hold on to the position though.

Wilson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Caldwell, who protects the arm well.

Caldwell has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Wilson is looking to take a break and control but Caldwell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Caldwell is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Wilson is controlling him well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Wilson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Caldwell has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Wilson but great work by Caldwell.

Caldwell wants to stand up but Wilson has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Wilson is refusing to be controlled, as Caldwell sits in half guard.
Wilson tries to roll over but Caldwell keeps him under control.

Caldwell wants to pass the guard but Wilson is defending well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A close round but Shane Wilson will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Wilson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Caldwells jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Wilson closes the distance and clinches.
Caldwell is looking to break free of the clinch but Wilson has double underhooks.
Wilson presses Caldwell against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Wilson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Wilson lands with a left to the head.

Wilson gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wilson connects with a nice short shot to Caldwell's temple.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilson is looking to take a break and control but Caldwell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wilson slips a nice elbow through Caldwell's hands, connecting with Caldwell's forehead.


Caldwell is rocked!
Wilson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Caldwell!
Oh Caldwell is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Caldwell seems to have got his legs back now.

Caldwell in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Caldwell wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Caldwell takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Wilson postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Caldwell out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Wilson goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Shane Wilson!
