Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arman Aigul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ilmari Kuusi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aigul comes to the cage accompanied by Ak Tilek. Ilmari Kuusi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kuusi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Aigul uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kuusi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Aigul gets a takedown into half guard.

Aigul decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Kuusi shoots in but Aigul avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Kuusi is staying active underneath Aigul, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Kuusi is pressing down on Aigul's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aigul is looking to work some ground and pound but Kuusi has wrist control.
Kuusi wants to sweep here but Aigul controlling him for the moment.
Aigul tries to free his leg and advance position but Kuusi is retaining full guard.

Aigul is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kuusi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Aigul manages to get himself to full guard.

Aigul knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kuusi on the ground.

Kuusi is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Kuusi stands up over Aigul, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Kuusi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kuusi is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Aigul will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Kuusi looks up at the clock and then as Aigul takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kuusi smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Kuusi is working to tighten his grip on Aigul's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Aigul has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kuusi is really squeezing tight and eventually Aigul passes out! Kuusi breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
