Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franks throws the left hand but McConnor avoids the punch easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Franks changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
McConnor has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Willie Franks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from McConnor.
McConnor bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Franks tries to clinch but McConnor moves away
and McConnor counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Franks wants to stand up but McConnor is controlling him.
McConnor makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
McConnor lands a couple of digs.
McConnor stops Franks from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Franks trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McConnor thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
McConnor scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Franks to see if he's OK.
Franks is rocked!
It looks like Willie Franks has been cut.
McConnor is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Franks is trying to escape and McConnor transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Franks is forced to tap! Nice work there by McConnor! Very nice indeed!
