Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silus Bane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Alyssa Summers and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bane darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Rose wants to get back to full guard.
Bane controlling the pace.

Rose is looking for a sweep. Bane is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bane stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Rose tries to clinch but Bane is having none of it.

Bane shoots in and bounces Rose off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Rose manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bane manages to get himself to full guard.
Rose could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Rose drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rose jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bane is looking to stand up but Rose isn't so interested in that idea.
Rose tries to free his leg and advance position but Bane is retaining full guard.
Bane manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rose manages to get himself to full guard.

Bane is taking a breather. Rose says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Rose wants to improve his position but Bane is controlling well.
Bane is nestled in close to Rose, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Bane decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Bane closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bane lands in his opponent's guard.

Bane wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rose keeps working.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bane lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Bane wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rose keeps working.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Bane shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bane showed some decent athleticism there.

Bane is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bane looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Bane is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Bane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rose is desperately trying to improve his position but Bane has a good base and remains in mount.

Despite being in the dominant position, Silus Bane just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well Bane has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
