Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Jalkalukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Reefer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jalkalukko comes to the cage accompanied by Jordan Sparks ft. Chris Brown - No Air . Jim Reefer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 32 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jesse Jalkalukko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Reefer!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jalkalukko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jalkalukko pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Reefer with the counter takedown but Jalkalukko avoids it easily.

Reefer is looking to score with low kicks.
Jalkalukko scores with a head kick. Reefer tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Jalkalukko closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Reefer's guard.

Reefer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Reefer keeping full guard, as Jalkalukko tries to pass.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reefer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jalkalukko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jalkalukko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reefer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jalkalukko drops back looking for a leg! Reefer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Reefer manages to kick Jalkalukko off! Jalkalukko jumps back into Reefer's guard.

Reefer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jalkalukko defends well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jalkalukko trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Reefer looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jalkalukko missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Reefer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jalkalukko is one step ahead there.

Jalkalukko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reefer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jalkalukko postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Reefer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jalkalukko.
Jalkalukko scores with a leg kick.
Reefer checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Reefer scores with a jab. Jalkalukko acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Jalkalukko lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Jalkalukko shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Reefer napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Reefer manages to get back to half guard.

Jalkalukko is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Reefer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jalkalukko's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jalkalukko's back!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Reefer's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Jalkalukko tries to escape but Reefer has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Reefer struggling to keep hold of the position.

Reefer looking for the choke but no joy.
Reefer controlling well, preventing Jalkalukko from escaping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jesse Jalkalukko dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Reefer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jalkalukko.

Reefer tries to improve position but can't.

Jalkalukko is taking a breather. Reefer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Reefer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jalkalukko pulls his head out easily.
Jalkalukko throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Reefer wants to get back to full guard.
Jalkalukko thows a huge punch but Reefer dodges it nicely.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Reefer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jalkalukko's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Reefer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Reefer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jalkalukko swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jalkalukko not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jalkalukko looking for a sweep. Not yet Jalkalukko, not yet.

Reefer is sitting in close to Jalkalukko's body. Jalkalukko has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Reefer is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Reefer is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jalkalukko.
