Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luciano Pacheco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manol Sirakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luciano Pacheco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Manol Sirakov!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Topper Green and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sirakov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pacheco on his heels. He'll look to pass Pacheco's guard now, I'm sure.
Pacheco wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Sirakov manages to pass to side control.


Sirakov is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pacheco has managed to free his arm - good work.
Sirakov perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Pacheco trying to hold on to Sirakov's head to control him but Sirakov postures up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sirakov is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Pacheco reverses the position - he's now on top in Sirakov's guard.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pacheco is defended easily by Sirakov.

Sirakov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pacheco, pushing him back against the cage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Pacheco ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pacheco no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Pacheco has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sirakov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sirakov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pacheco's guard.

Sirakov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pacheco defends it well.

Pacheco is defending against the submission attempts here by Sirakov.

Sirakov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pacheco does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Pacheco gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sirakov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sirakov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Sirakov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Pacheco has momentary wrist control but Sirakov slips an elbow through the middle.
Manol Sirakov is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Sirakov's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Manol Sirakov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sirakov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
