The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cairncross swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cairncross moves into the clinch.
Cairncross scores with a nice hook to the head.
Cairncross on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Cairncross blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Ankjell lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Cairncross breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cairncross lands a high kick!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Cairncross!
Cairncross takes the fight into the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cairncross blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Ankjell being controlled against the cage.

Ankjell can't break the clinch.
Ankjell is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Cairncross has Ankjell pressed against the cage.
Cairncross manages to break the clinch.
Cairncross lands a left and a right that send Ankjell crashing to the mat, dazed. Cairncross thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Rune Ankjell has been cut.
Cairncross connects with the punch.
Ankjell wants to clinch up but Cairncross keeps it at a distance.
Ankjell tries to keep at a distance but Cairncross has taken the fight into the clinch.

Ankjell throws a punch but it's blocked by Cairncross.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ankjell.
Ankjell misses with a hook from the clinch.
A shot in the inside from Cairncross.
Cairncross blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Cairncross's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Cairncross scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Ankjell tries to circle away but Cairncross has him pinned against the cage.
Cairncross has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ankjell uses from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Cairncross manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Ankjell misses with a short punch on the inside.
Cairncross lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Cairncross.
Cairncross lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ankjell backwards.
A right hook to the body lands for Cairncross.
Cairncross stalls.
Cairncross breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Oooooh!!! Cairncross has knocked Ankjell down with a huge combo! Cairncross steps away and waves a wobbly Ankjell back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Ankjell is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cairncross throws an overhand right that has Ankjell reeling! Cairncross follows up with more punches and Ankjell is out cold! This one is all over!
