Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wayde Sullivan!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jorge Garcia and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bearden fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sullivan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bearden has a takedown stuffed.
Sullivan circles away from the clinch attempt.

Sullivan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bearden looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sullivan working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Bearden is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Sullivan uses his free foot to push down on Bearden's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bearden.
Bearden is in all sorts of trouble here.
Bearden is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Sullivan landing strikes from the mount and Bearden is in trouble!

Sullivan looking to secure an arm triangle but Bearden defends it well.

Sullivan escapes and gets back to his feet.

Bearden is looking to stand up but Sullivan isn't so interested in that idea.

Bearden is trying to keep Sullivan in close.

Sullivan has gone for a leg lock! Bearden slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sullivan's guard.
Bearden has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sullivan is proving hard to escape from.

Sullivan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Sullivan wants to stand but Bearden is controlling the position.
Sullivan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bearden manages to get himself to full guard.

Bearden scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Sullivan lands a with a good body shot.

A head kick by Bearden misses

and Sullivan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sullivan.
Sullivan lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Bearden drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sullivan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rex Bearden. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sullivan breaks from the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sullivan doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Bearden counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Sullivan looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Bearden looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sullivan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bearden stalling.
Sullivan gets back to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sullivan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bearden is one step ahead there.
Bearden pushes down on Sullivan's leg and manages to get into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wayde Sullivan dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Sullivan has his takedown stuffed

and Bearden moves into the clinch.
Sullivan tries to break the clinch but Bearden is controlling the position.

Sullivan is trying to trip Bearden. He has hold of a leg but Bearden is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Sullivan persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Bearden looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Sullivan is defending well. Bearden quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Sullivan has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Bearden celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
