The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thrillstompers moves away from the strike by Docia.
Docia throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Thrillstompers's head.
Thrillstompers slips a straight right by Docia.
Docia misses with a straight left.
Thrillstompers avoids the head kick by Docia.
Docia throws a sloppy head kick and Thrillstompers moves out of range easily.
Thrillstompers fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Docia avoids it really well and circles away.
A little jabbing left from Docia on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
No luck for Thrillstompers with that takedown attempt.

Thrillstompers closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Docia tries to buck Thrillstompers off but Thrillstompers is having none of it.

Thrillstompers is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Docia has escaped the position, nice work there.

Thrillstompers thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Thrillstompers goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Docia has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Thrillstompers but great work by Docia.
We've been hearing good reports from Thrillstompers's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Thrillstompers is looking to regain half guard here but Docia keeps moving and retains side control.
Docia looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thrillstompers parries the strikes from Docia easily there. Docia is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Thrillstompers to escape.
Docia cracks Thrillstompers with a big elbow.

Thrillstompers is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Thrillstompers has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Docia. Oh but Thrillstompers has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Docia goes limp - he's gone! Thrillstompers jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
