Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jarrod Mcgowan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Player Name (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jarrod Mcgowan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Player Name!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Name moves into the clinch successfully.

Name manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Name throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Name is pulling down on Mcgowan's head to control his posture.

Name wriggles free and stands up.

Name closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Name has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Name rushes Mcgowan and presses him up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Name tries to break the clinch but Mcgowan is controlling the position.

Name turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Name manages to end up in side control.

Name has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Name is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mcgowan gets caught flat footed, as Name shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Mcgowan being controlled here, momentarily.
Name looking to pass the guard.
Name content to stall in guard here.
Mcgowan is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Name stands up and waves to Mcgowan to follow him.

Name has managed to clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Name.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Name wants to break the clinch but can't.

Name has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mcgowan regains guard immediately.
Mcgowan is wriggling around but Name manages to pass to half guard.

Name is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Name postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Mcgowan to stand up.
Mcgowan shoots in for a double leg but Name sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Name gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Name lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Name thows a huge punch but Mcgowan dodges it nicely.
Still in half guard, Name seems content to control.

Name decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Mcgowan gets tackled into the cage by Name. Name maintains the clinch.
Name stalling the fight.
Name looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Mcgowan is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Name jumps guard and drags Mcgowan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Name gets a takedown into half guard.

Mcgowan makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Player Name is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nice body punch from Name.

Name gets a double leg takedown into Mcgowan's guard.

Mcgowan manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Name blocks an uppercut.
Mcgowan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Name's efforts to push away.
Mcgowan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Name smiles and moves away.

Good exchange - Name coming out on top.
Mcgowan checks a leg kick nicely.

Name shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mcgowan's guard.
Name advances to half guard.
Well, if Name is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Name not landing any meaningful shots this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Name throws a strike but Mcgowan avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Name has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Name in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Name advances position into side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Name working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Name content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Name decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Name misses with a wild combination.

Name has closed the distance and engaged Mcgowan in a clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Mcgowan gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Name has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Mcgowan is on him like a limpet, forcing Name back against the cage.

Name has Mcgowan pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Name pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mcgowan tumbling to the mat - Name dives into Mcgowan's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Name seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Let's hope that Name has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Name stands up from guard. Let's bang!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Player Name showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Mcgowan tries to keep at a distance but Name has taken the fight into the clinch.

Name is controlling the pace.
Mcgowan wants to improve his position but Name is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcgowan keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Name passes to full mount!
Name sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Name tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Mcgowan holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Name tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Name throws some wild stikes that Mcgowan manages to avoid easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Name sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Name throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Name sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Name tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Mcgowan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Name on the ground.

Name looking to ground and pound but Mcgowan is blocking nicely.

Name is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Name scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
A lull in the action here as Name stalls from top position.

Name is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mcgowan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Name thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Name decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Well Name has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
