Goldsmith comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dos Equis kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Angus Blair!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 32 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jonathan Goldsmith!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blair thows a leg kick but Goldsmith checks it

and Goldsmith counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Blair keeping moving, preventing Goldsmith from controlling successfully.
Blair has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Goldsmith slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Goldsmith stands and steps away. Blair gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Blair throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Goldsmith dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Blair. That did some damage!
Angus Blair seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Goldsmith moves out of range of the body kick from Blair.
Blair lands a nice looking body kick.
Blair connects with a leg kick. Goldsmith looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
We've been informed that Goldsmith has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Blair misses with a body kick.
Goldsmith drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Blair defends it well.
Blair misses with a head kick.
Goldsmith is looking for the big counter here.
Blair throws a push kick but Goldsmith slaps the foot to one side.
Goldsmith walks forward, straight into a front kick from Blair.
Sloppy strikes from Goldsmith. Those never looked like landing.
Blair thows a left - swing and a miss!
Blair lands with a slapping head kick.
Goldsmith avoids a kick to the body.
Goldsmith lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Blair dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Goldsmith. That did some damage!
Whack! Blair lands a heavy head kick that drops Goldsmith. The ref tackles Blair to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Goldsmith was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Angus Blair!
