Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tim Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Acerola Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tim Jones has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Acerola Da Silva!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Da Silva uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.
Da Silva lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Da Silva.

It looks like Tim Jones has been cut.
Jones shoots in but Da Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones is breathing heavily.

Da Silva has managed to clinch.
Da Silva is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Jones is keeping busy.

Da Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Da Silva closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Da Silva rushes Jones and presses him up against the cage.
Da Silva creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jones's defenses.

Da Silva gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Da Silva's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Da Silva keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jones's head.
Da Silva passes Jones's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Da Silva in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Jones tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Da Silva!
