The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borschev scores with a sloppy right hand. Nord should have avoided that one.

Borschev closes the distance and pushes Nord back into the cage.
Nord pushes Borschev back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Nord dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Borschev. That did some damage!
Borschev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nord swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vidar Nord seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nord throws a low kick, looking for Borschev's leg but Borschev calmly moves out of range.

Borschev fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nord looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Borschev jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Borschev fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Nord.
Nord throws a jab but it's blocked by Borschev.
Borschev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nord throws a leg kick but Borschev moved away.
Borschev swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Nord fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Borschev has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Nord misses with a body shot
and Borschev connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nord throws a head kick that misses.
Borschev misses with a low kick.
Nord takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Borschev blocks a jab.
Borschev throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Nord has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Nord looks winded!
Nord throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Borschev counters with a right hand to the body.

Borschev feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Nord sprawling to the canvas! Nord rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Borschev finish him?!
Borschev is looking to wear down Nord with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Borschev pushes Nord against the cage. Borschev is working some dirty boxing. Borschev pushes off with a quick right hook! Nord goes down! Nord tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Borschev moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
