Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Happy Tom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mathew Swoop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Happy Tom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mathew Swoop!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tom keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Swoop tries to bum rush Tom with a series of wild strikes but Tom uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tom misses with a head kick.
Swoop shoots for a double leg takedown but Tom sprawls well. He's pushed Swoop's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Swoop throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Tom tries a head kick but it misses.
Tom scores with a one two! Swoop had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Swoop tries for a takedown but Tom sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Happy Tom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mathew Swoop.
Tom takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


It looks like Happy Tom has been cut.

Tom looks for the body kick but Swoop saw that one coming.
Swoop misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Swoop will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Swoop connects with a nice short shot to Tom's temple.

Tom manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Swoop manages to get himself to full guard.

Swoop escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tom gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tom decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Swoop, up you get!
Tom throws a right and a left that both miss.
Swoop fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Swoop shoots for a double leg takedown but Tom sprawls well. He's pushed Swoop's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Tom jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Swoop shoots in but no luck this time.

Swoop walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Tom lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Swoop shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Tom is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Swoop is working Tom over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
