Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eliézer Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Hoffman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machado comes to the cage accompanied by Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoffman is looking to chop away at Machado's legs.
Hoffman tests Machado's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Machado connects with a looping right hand.
Hoffman takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Hoffman moves out of range of the strikes.

Machado wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Hoffman ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Hoffman throws a push kick but Machado slaps the foot to one side.
Machado takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Jack Hoffman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hoffman cracks Machado with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hoffman has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Machado to stand back up!
Machado is rocked!
Hoffman swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Oh Machado is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hoffman takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Machado seems to have got his legs back now.
Machado keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Machado makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hoffman throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Hoffman looks to land a right hand but Machado moved out of range.
A swing and a miss from Machado.
Machado steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hoffman.
Machado swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Hoffman cracks Machado's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Machado slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Hoffman can do further damage! This one is done, son!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jack Hoffman!
