Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abe Roach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sapra Reddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sapra Reddy will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abe Roach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sapra Reddy!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roach tries to close the distance and clinch but Reddy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Reddy darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Reddy with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Reddy sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Roach defending well though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reddy not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Roach moves into full guard.
Reddy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reddy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reddy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Roach escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reddy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Roach is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Reddy trying to control the position from guard on top but Roach is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Roach is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Reddy tries to free his leg and advance position but Roach is retaining full guard.
Roach really is a fat lump.
Reddy is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Roach bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Reddy's guard.

Reddy is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Roach might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Reddy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Roach is one step ahead there.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Roach makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Reddy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Roach stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Roach manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Reddy on his heels. He'll look to pass Reddy's guard now, I'm sure.
Roach wanted to stand there but Reddy had control of the position.

Reddy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Roach has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Roach keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Reddy's head.
Roach wants to stand but Reddy is controlling his posture from full guard.

Roach wants to get up but he can't break Reddy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Roach working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Reddy's head.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Roach's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Roach is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Reddy is working an open guard so Roach takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Roach gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Roach jumps guard and drags Reddy to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Roach is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Reddy frees his head nicely. Oh but Roach has switched to an armbar! Reddy is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
