PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aydine Antona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manus Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Antona comes to the cage accompanied by Laid to Rest by Lamb of God. Grant has chosen Thunderstruck - AC/DC as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Antona misses with a head kick.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Antona.

Antona sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Antona manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Grant wants to control from the top but Antona keeps moving.

Grant is taking a breather. Antona says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Grant throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

A little feinted left hand from Antona on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Grant fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Antona manages to avoid it.
Antona throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Grant sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Antona uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Grant.

Grant is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Antona rather than just go for the knockout.
