Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lubor Volny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lubor Volny is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lubor Volny!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Phil Schofield and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogan shoots in for a takedown but Volny shows good takedown defense.
Volny misses with a kick to the body.
Volny misses with an uppercut.
Hogan half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Volny fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hogan sprawls well initially but Volny persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Volny is taking a breather. Hogan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Hogan wants to get back to full guard.
Volny passes to full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Volny swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hogan is now in Volny's guard. A big mistake from Volny there, giving up the dominant position!
Volny bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hogan's guard.

Hogan has a closed guard, preventing Volny from standing up.
Volny sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hogan's guard.
Volny takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
It looks like Volny is going to stand back up.

Volny passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hogan!

Volny get's back to his feet.

Volny shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Volny trying to control the action but Hogan is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Volny in particular looking to stall.

Hogan is looking for a sweep. Volny is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Volny frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Hogan working to try and regain half guard.
Volny can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hogan is looking to escape.
Volny controlling the pace for now.

Hogan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Volny trying to control but Hogan is having none of it.
Hogan really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Volny throwing strikes but Hogan uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lubor Volny dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Volny throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Hogan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hogan.
Hogan is trying to break the clinch but Volny is controlling him.

Volny has hold of one of Hogan's legs. Hogan is fighting the takedown attempt but Volny gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Volny trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hogan's guard.
Lubor Volny has got the better of the ground game so far.
Volny working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hogan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Volny on the ground.
Hogan has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Volny has passed into side control.

Hogan tries to improve position but can't.
Volny tries to move into full mount but can't pass Hogan's legs.
Hogan managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Volny.

Hogan can't do much from the bottom here.
Volny wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hogan keeps working.
Volny wants to stand but Hogan has his arm trapped.
Hogan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Volny wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hogan, who protects the arm well.
Hogan looking for a sweep but Volny has passed into full mount! Oh no!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Volny controlling the pace for now.
Volny is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Hogan has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Volny's lack of action.
Volny looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Volny working Hogan over with strikes.
Volny is controlling the pace.
Volny wants to stand up but Hogan has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Hogan wants to get back to full guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Volny controlling the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Volny shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Volny was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Volny trying to control the position but Hogan is working away.
Hogan is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Volny seems to be looking for submissions.
Hogan on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lubor Volny showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Hogan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Volny was covering up waiting for the punch and Hogan finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hogan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Volny bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Volny remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
