Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Elmo Callahan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lindsay Brain!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Callahan drives through with a takedown into guard.
Callahan is fighting to break Brain's control of his arms but Brain is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Callahan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Callahan throws a big right hand that misses.
Brain really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Callahan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Callahan jumps guard and drags Brain to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Callahan has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Brain is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Callahan using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Brain has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Callahan is pulling down on Brain's head. It's preventing any offense from Brain, at least for the moment.

Callahan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brain doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brain manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Brain is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Callahan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Callahan has escaped and now he's on top!

Callahan is working Brain over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Callahan lands a couple of elbows.

Brain stuffs the takedown.
Brain displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Callahan.

Callahan looks for a takedown but Brain sprawls well.

Callahan shoots in looking for a takedown but Brain manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Callahan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Callahan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brain swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Brain counters with a thumping low kick.
Brain throws a leg kick but Callahan sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Callahan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Brain's guard.

Brain has his feet on Callahan's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Callahan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Callahan gets a double leg takedown into Brain's guard.

Brain is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Callahan is trying to maintain a safe position but Brain gets an underhook and turns Callahan into the cage.
Callahan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Brain to keep the fight standing.

Elmo Callahan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Brain wants to control from the top but Callahan keeps moving.

Brain gets caught napping as Callahan dives in and scores a takedown. Brain manages to retain guard.

Callahan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brain bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Callahan's guard.

Callahan has Brain pulled in close to control his posture.

Lindsay Brain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brain is bucking up trying to escape but Callahan cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Brain tries to hold on but Callahan postures up.
Callahan pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Brain is working to get back to half guard.

Brain has left one of his arms exposed and Callahan doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Brain screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
