Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jarrod Mcgowan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nathan Brown!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Phil Schofield and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown has Mcgowan up against the cage in a clinch.
Mcgowan jumps guard but Brown turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Mcgowan is trying to pull guard but Brown has him pressed against the cage.
Brown tries to break free but Mcgowan pushes him back against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Brown jumps into guard, dragging Mcgowan to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcgowan lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Brown utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Mcgowan throws a big elbow that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brown scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Brown clinches up against the cage.
Mcgowan trying to control the position but instead, Brown has worked for underhooks and has pushed Mcgowan into the cage.
Mcgowan jumps guard but Brown turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jarrod Mcgowan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mcgowan tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Mcgowan misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Brown decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Mcgowan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Brown smiles and moves away.

Brown tries to break free but Mcgowan pushes him back against the cage.

Brown has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mcgowan uses from the top position.
Brown has control of Mcgowan's left arm, preventing Mcgowan from doing any damage.
Mcgowan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brown works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Brown is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Mcgowan presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Mcgowan swings wildly with an uppercut but Brown uses good head movement to avoid it.

Mcgowan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Brown has closed the distance and engaged Mcgowan in a clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Mcgowan - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Mcgowan is trying to pull guard but Brown has him pressed against the cage.

Brown breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Brown fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mcgowan, pushing him back against the cage.
Mcgowan tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Brown avoids it.
Mcgowan goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Mcgowan is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Brown is defending well for now.
Brown tries to break free but Mcgowan pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Brown looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Brown is trying to break the clinch but Mcgowan is controlling him.
Mcgowan jumps guard but Brown stands there with Mcgowan around his waist. Mcgowan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Brown pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brown is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mcgowan tries to throw a body punch but Brown avoids it by throwing Mcgowan back against the cage.
Mcgowan lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Brown or not.
Brown is trying to break the clinch but Mcgowan is controlling him.
Mcgowan is trying to pull guard but Brown turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Brown's face as he tries to break the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Mcgowan.
Mcgowan goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Mcgowan changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brown fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Brown has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mcgowan uses from the top position.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Brown holds on and takes a little breather.

Mcgowan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Brown wriggles free and stands up.

Brown closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Brown manages to pull guard.
Mcgowan postures up and lands a big shot to Brown's brow.
Brown is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brown uses his free foot to push down on Mcgowan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mcgowan.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Brown stands up from mount. Strange move.

Mcgowan avoids a wild elbow strike from Brown.
Brown blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Brown looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Mcgowan tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Brown wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mcgowan tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Brown avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nathan Brown showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Brown throws an elbow that misses. Mcgowan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Brown's guard. Nice move by Mcgowan!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brown is on top in guard.


Brown stands up and waves to Mcgowan to follow him.

Brown has clasped his hands together around Mcgowan's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Mcgowan wants to get back to his feet but Brown is dominant here and he's now got Mcgowan's back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
I would not like to be Mcgowan right now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Nathan Brown comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Brown has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
