The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koga steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Slayer.

and Slayer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Koga utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Slayer lands a couple of digs.

Slayer trying to control the position from guard on top but Koga is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Koga utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Koga lands a nice hook to Slayer's body. Slayer takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Koga works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Slayer will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Slayer is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Koga rolls with it to try and escape but Slayer cranks on the arm and Koga is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
