Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby TupperIII (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida has chosen For Whom The Bell Tolls as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
TupperIII will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Machida lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as TupperIII backs up against the cage.
It looks like Bobby TupperIII has been cut.
Machida missing with a left hand there. TupperIII was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
We've been informed that Machida has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Machida misses with a straight right.
Lyoto Machida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloppy strikes from Machida. Those never looked like landing.
TupperIII fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Machida sprawls well initially but TupperIII persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Machida has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but TupperIII is on him like a limpet, forcing Machida back against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Machida tries to break free but TupperIII pushes him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Machida's face as he tries to break the clinch.
TupperIII drags the fight down to the ground.
TupperIII has a closed guard, preventing Machida from standing up.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Machida must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
TupperIII looking for a guillotine here but Machida defends easily.
TupperIII has his foot on Machida's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Machida works his way back into a safe position though.

Machida is sitting in close to TupperIII's body. TupperIII has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Machida is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Machida is tapping! That was a very nice submission by TupperIII.
