Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jefferey Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mad Max (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Max will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Max drives through and clinches with Smith against the cage.

Smith jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Max walks away with a smile on his face. Smith gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Smith tries to work over Max's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Max creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Max has had enough of the clinch but Smith keeps him there for the moment.
Smith takes a shot to the head.
Max lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Max tries to circle away but Smith has him pinned against the cage.

Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Max's waist but Max gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side.
Max has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

As Max looks to move away, Smith throws a big counter combo but Max just gets out of the way.

Max moves into range and clinches up with Smith.

Smith tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Max smiles and moves away.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Max creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Max breaks from the clinch.

Max closes the distance and pushes Smith back into the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Smith has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Max after a bit of a struggle.
Smith changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Max fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Max moves into the clinch.
Smith fails to pull guard.
Smith blocks the elbow strike.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Max as Smith tries to tie him up.

Max pushes Smith back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Max wants to break free but Smith has control.
Smith jumps guard but Max stands there with Smith around his waist. Smith gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Max digs a right hand underneath Smith's ribcage. Smith let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Max lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Smith backwards.

Max lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Oh Smith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A frustrated look appears on Max's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Max lands with a short shot to the head.
Max lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Smith to his knees! Max keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

A very excited looking Mad Max rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
