Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ohto Alanko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Jacob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and David Hoff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alanko closes the distance and clinches.

Jacob turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jacob manages to end up in side control.
Alanko parries the strikes from Jacob easily there. Jacob is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Alanko to escape.

Jacob decides to stand up, so the ref orders Alanko to his feet.
Jacob misses with a body shot.
It looked like Alanko wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Jacob fails with a takedown attempt.
Jacob takes a jab right on the kisser.
Jacob takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jacob gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Alanko.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jacob gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Alanko struggles to land a body shot inside as Jacob controls his hands.

The referee asks Jacob politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jacob prefers to stall for the moment though.
Alanko is looking for a sweep.

Jacob working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Alanko is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Alanko tries to buck Jacob off but Jacob is having none of it.
Jacob lands an elbow.
Alanko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jacob on the ground.

Jacob stands up.
Jacob gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Alanko.
Alanko punishes Jacob's body with a nice straight punch.
Jacob takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A cross from Alanko lands.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jacob takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

A jab from Alanko finds it's way through Jacob's defenses.
Ohto Alanko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jacob closes the distance and clinches up with Alanko, looking for a takedown. Jacob pushes Alanko against the cage but Alanko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ohto Alanko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Jacob.
Alanko feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jacobs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Alanko connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jacob's hands.

Jacob is still on wobbly legs! Can Alanko finish him?
Alanko ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Jacob seems to have recovered his senses.
Alanko tests Jacob's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ohto Alanko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Alanko dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jacob looks winded!
Alanko lands a jab to the nose.
Jacob walks straight into a right hand from Alanko - that's dropped him! Alanko jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Jacob from any more punishment! Jacob complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
