I was talking to Eerkilaa's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Ei throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Eerkilaa blocks it with crossed arms.
Eerkilaa blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Ei trying to control the position but instead, Eerkilaa has worked for underhooks and has pushed Ei into the cage.
Eerkilaa digs a right hand underneath Ei's ribcage. Ei let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Ei throws a punch but it's blocked by Eerkilaa.
Eerkilaa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Eerkilaa dips to his left and cracks Ei with an uppercut!
Eerkilaa walks forward, straight into a front kick from Ei.
Ei uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Eerkilaa.
Eerkilaa avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ei misses with a straight left.
Eerkilaa connects with the punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ei misses with a hook.
Toni Eerkilaa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ei's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ei duly obliges.
Eerkilaa moves out of range of the strikes.
Ei misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Eerkilaa connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A slow jab from Eerkilaa misses its intended target.
Eerkilaa drops Ei with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Ei looks back up at him and smiles so Eerkilaa waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Ei is rocked!
Ei throws a leg kick which misses Eerkilaa's front leg but catches the back leg as Eerkilaa tries to avoid it.
Ei is still on wobbly legs! Can Eerkilaa finish him?
Eerkilaa lands a nice shot to the body.
Ei looks winded!
Ei gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Eerkilaa points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Ei wakes up just in time to hear Eerkilaa thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Toni Eerkilaa!
A determined Toni Eerkilaa didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
