Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Desean Bryant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Desean Bryant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Griffin catches Bryant right on the button with a cross.
Bryant seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Griffin has taken the fight to the clinch.
Griffin putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Bryant in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Bryant lands a body punch in the clinch.

Bryant has Griffin pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bryant pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Griffin tumbling to the mat - Bryant dives into Griffin's guard.
Bryant stops Griffin from standing up.

Griffin uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Bryant uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Griffin.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bryant moves into the clinch.
Griffin tries a body shot but Bryant blocks it.

Bryant decides to pull guard.
Griffin trying to control the position from guard on top but Bryant is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bryant bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Griffin's guard.


That's one minute gone in the round.
Bryant prevents Griffin from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bryant looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Griffin scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Griffin throws a sloppy head kick and Bryant moves out of range easily.
As Griffin looks to move away, Bryant throws a big counter combo but Griffin just gets out of the way.
Griffin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Griffin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Bryant regains half guard.
Griffin sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bryant defending well though.
Bryant tries to kick Griffin off in order to stand up. Griffin Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bryant is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Griffin off and has taken his back!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bryant scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Griffin is trying to stand back up.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bryant gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.

Griffin is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Griffin told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bryant has Griffin flattened out and is raining down punches.
Griffin is trying to get back to his feet but Bryant has full control of the position and if anything, Griffin has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Bryant scores with punches to the body.
Bryant lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.


Griffin is rocked!

Bryant patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Griffin is still in real trouble! Can Bryant finish him?
Bryant throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Griffin!
Griffin is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Bryant is looking to finish with some ground and pound!

Griffin is in a bad position with Bryant working for a choke. Griffin manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Griffin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Griffin seems to have recovered his senses.

Griffin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bryant has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Griffin has managed to get both his arms back between Bryant's legs - danger averted.

Bryant is looking for a triangle but Griffin pushes his legs off easily.
Bryant has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Griffin tries to free his leg and advance position but Bryant is retaining full guard.
Griffin advances to half guard.

Griffin wants to work for an arm triangle but Bryant is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Griffin in particular looking to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Desean Bryant dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Griffin throws a head kick but Bryant moves out of range.

It looks like Desean Bryant has been cut.
Bryant misses with a low kick.

Bryant closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Griffin regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Bryant.
Griffin wants to stand and escape but Bryant is having none of it.
Bryant throws an elbow that misses. Griffin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bryant's guard. Nice move by Griffin!

Bryant looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Bryant working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Griffin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Bryant is tightening it up a little... Griffin has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Griffin reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Griffin taps out! Nice BJJ there by Bryant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Desean Bryant!
