The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown feints a jab promting Melton to slip. Brown then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Melton slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Marc Melton has been cut.
A nice combination there by Brown.

Melton is rocked!
Brown tries to clinch but Melton moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Brown.
Melton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Brown throws out a counter right but Melton avoids it with no problem.
Brown throws a low kick but it's checked well by Melton.
Brown keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Brown dives in and scores a takedown into Melton's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Melton is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Brown is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Brown wants to control but Melton passes into side.
Brown really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Melton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Brown tries to improve his position but Melton has taken his back! Melton has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Brown tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Melton pushes Brown away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
