PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maciej Dobrzynski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owen Farrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dobrzynski comes to the cage accompanied by Sabaton - Uprising. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Owen Farrell!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farrell lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Farrell thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Dobrzynski if he has to take too many more of those.
Dobrzynski jabs Farrell to the body, keeping him at a distance.
The fighters circling - Dobrzynski throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Farrell has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.


It looks like Owen Farrell has been cut.
Dobrzynski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Farrell but Farrell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Farrell is not content to let Dobrzynski control the position.

Dobrzynski looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Farrell counters with a nice low kick that buckles Dobrzynski's knee momentarily.

Dobrzynski closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Farrell's guard.
Farrell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dobrzynski's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Maciej Dobrzynski.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dobrzynski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
