The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Smart throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Smart misses with the combination.
Smart misses with a series of wild punches.
Smart pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smart shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Diaz as he jumps to the side.
Smart tries to clinch up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horrible takedown by Smart or perhaps it was just good defense by Diaz which made him look bad.

Diaz drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Diaz drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Diaz as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Smart screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Diaz! Nice submission victory there!
