Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuriy Chupalov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chupalov comes to the cage accompanied by Gamora - Veneno . Richard Wilson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wilson thuds a left hand into Chupalov's body.
Chupalov doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Wilson cracks a nice hook into Chupalov's ribs.
Chupalov wants to clinch.

Chupalov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wilson, pushing him back against the cage.

Wilson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Wilson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Chupalov takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Chupalov doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Wilson is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Wilson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chupalov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wilson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Wilson lands a left and a right that send Chupalov crashing to the mat, dazed. Wilson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Yuriy Chupalov has been cut.
Chupalov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wilson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wilson looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Wilson has closed the distance and engaged Chupalov in a clinch.
Chupalov throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Wilson blocks it with crossed arms.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Chupalov stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Wilson misses with an elbow strike.
Chupalov is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chupalov throws a head punch that misses.
Chupalov jumps guard but Wilson stands there with Chupalov around his waist. Chupalov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Wilson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Wilson blocks an uppercut.
Wilson is trying to push Chupalov away but Chupalov has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Chupalov wants to stall.
Chupalov throws a knee to the head but misses.
Chupalov lands a good knee to the midsection. Wilson won't want to take too many of those.
Wilson blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Wilson blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Chupalov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Yuriy Chupalov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chupalov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wilson circles away quickly and effectively.
A countering left hand to the body from Wilson misses.
Richard Wilson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Wilson forces Chupalov back against the cage and clinches.

Wilson pulls guard effortlessly.
Wilson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chupalov manages to get himself to full guard.

Wilson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Wilson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Chupalov is looking to stand up but Wilson isn't so interested in that idea.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Wilson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Wilson stands and steps away. Chupalov gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Chupalov blocks the body kick.

Wilson has Chupalov up against the cage in a clinch.
Wilson lands a nice shot to the body.

Chupalov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wilson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Chupalov on the side of the head.
Wilson swats away the attempt to clinch by Chupalov.
Wilson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Chupalov is looking to clinch but Wilson is avoiding it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Chupalov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wilson throws out a counter right but Chupalov avoids it with no problem.
Wilson is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Chupalov rather than just go for the knockout.

Wilson lands a big head kick that sends Chupalov tumbling to the mat! Wilson takes a step backwards and waves Chupalov back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Chupalov moves to clinch but Wilson breaks away
and Wilson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Chupalov thinking.
Oh Chupalov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wilson sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Chupalov's defenses. It connects perfectly with Chupalov's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
