The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morkevicius looks for a takedown but Walker sprawls well.
Remigijus Morkevicius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Morkevicius dives in and grabs Walker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Walker pushes down on Morkevicius's head and hops out.

It looks like Tex Walker has been cut.
Morkevicius throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Walker's waist but Walker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Morkevicius off to one side.

Walker changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

We've been hearing good reports from Morkevicius's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Walker is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Morkevicius is hurt! He's hurt bad - Walker fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Morkevicius from any more punishment! Congratulations to Walker! Great finish!
