Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Rattle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rattle jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Kid.
Rattle tries to improve position but can't.

Kid is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rattle knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Kid tries for a kimura but Rattle is defending well.
Rattle tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kid wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Rattle is working hard here to advance position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kid takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Kid looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rattle is looking to improve his position.

Kid is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Rattle is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Kid pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are battling for position here. Rattle manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Kid thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kid looks gassed!
Rattle wants to sweep here but Kid controlling him for the moment.
Kid wants to pass the guard but Rattle is keeping the position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kid is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kid closes the distance and clinches up with Rattle, looking for a takedown. Kid pushes Rattle against the cage but Rattle circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A left and a right from Rattle both land. Nice combination.

Rattle bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kid's head backwards.
Nice straight punches there by Rattle. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rattle.
Rattle fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Rattle lands a right hook to the body.
Kid takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Rattle lunges at Kid with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kid's hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rattle smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Rattle digs a good body shot into Kid's ribs.
Rattle tries for a takedown but Kid circles away easily

so Kid counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Rattle throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Rattle has his foot on Kid's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kid works his way back into a safe position though.

Kid drops back looking for a leg! Rattle is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rattle manages to kick Kid off! Kid jumps back into Rattle's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rattle is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Rattle looking for a sweep. Not yet Rattle, not yet.

Rattle had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kid is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rattle Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kid's back instead.
Kid turns into Rattle and is now in his guard.

Kid is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Rattle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kid doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Rattle is tightening it up a little... Kid has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kid reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kid taps out! nice BJJ there by Rattle!
