The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amaral goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Stilies throws a body punch but Amaral moves out of range.
Amaral looks to land a combination. Stilies sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Amaral fails to land with a series of punches.
A head kick from Amaral lands but Stilies takes it in his stride.
The crowd cheers as Amaral lands an impressive looking overhand right. Stilies doesn't seem phased though.

Amaral was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Stilies on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Amaral throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Stilies blocks it with crossed arms.

I was talking to Amaral's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Stilies is trying to push Amaral away but Amaral has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Amaral drops Stilies with a big knee straight up the middle! Stilies is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Amaral will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Amaral cracks Stilies with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Stilies looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Amaral finish him?

and Amaral counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Stilies! He's just covering up as Amaral starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
