The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams checks a leg kick nicely.
Williams pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hakuna Matata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams lands with a thumping leg kick.
Williams throws a head kick that misses.
A head kick from Williams lands but Matata takes it in his stride.
Matata throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Matata misses with a hook. Williams ducked under it nicely.
Matata throws a right and a left that Williams avoids nicely.
As Matata backs off Williams throws a huge counter combo but Matata manages to avoid it all.
Matata looks to land a combination but Williams avoids it well.
Matata swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Williams counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Williams stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Matata throws a leg kick

and Williams counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Matata!

Williams has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Williams scores with a one two! Matata had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Williams throws a head kick but Matata moves out of range.

Matata pivots, looking for a leg kick but Williams is out of range and Matata settles back down.
Williams throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A combination from Matata does no damage.
Crunch! Williams slams his shin into Matata's torso.
Williams throws a head kick that Matata semi-blocks.
Matata falls off balance throwing a combination
and Williams counters with a nice body kick.
Matata is breathing heavily.
Matata is looking to clinch.
Williams lands with a kick to the ribs.
Matata swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

It looks like Hakuna Matata has been cut.

Matata takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Williams fakes the leg kick and cracks Matata in the body.
Williams lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Williams lands a big head kick that sends Matata tumbling to the mat! Williams takes a step backwards and waves Matata back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Matata is rocked!
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Williams throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Matata is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
