The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lambert counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Adams fails to land with a series of punches.
Lambert slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Adams falls off balance throwing a combination

and Lambert holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Adams is trying to break the clinch but Lambert has him pressed against the cage.

Lambert successfully pulls guard.
Lambert could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Lambert looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Lambert is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Adams is aware though and is defending well.
Adams controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Adams avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Adams is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lambert looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Adams stands and steps away. Lambert gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Adams lands the left hand.

It looks like Clyde Lambert has been cut.
Lambert throws a right and a left that Adams avoids nicely.
Adams misses with a low kick.
Lambert wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Adams dances in with a quick combination. Lambert is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Adams snaps Lambert's head back. Lambert stumbles backwards against the cage. Adams steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Lambert's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Lambert just didn't come prepared.
